In the second quarter of 2024, dinosaur-themed games on Android have seen varying levels of engagement and success. The data, courtesy of Sensor Tower, gives us a look at how these games have performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Mecha Domination: Rampage made its debut this quarter and has shown a significant spike in downloads, peaking at 1.5M in mid-May. Weekly active users hit a high of 1.45M during the same period, although numbers have since trended downwards to 811K. Revenue saw a steady increase, reaching $569K in late May before dipping to $266K by the end of June.

Long-time player favorite Jurassic World™: The Game maintained a strong position with revenue fluctuations, hitting a max of $335K mid-quarter. Downloads surged to 772K in early June, and weekly active users saw a peak of 5.5M, indicating a strong and engaged player base.

Another game from the same franchise, Jurassic World Alive, exhibited a stable performance with revenues reaching $279K in mid-May. Downloads saw a significant jump to 500K in mid-April, while active users peaked at 2.2M, later balancing out at around 1.5M towards the end of June.

The newcomer De-Extinction: Jurassic, released in mid-April, showed promising initial numbers with downloads peaking at 591K and active users reaching 307K in mid-May. However, there was a noticeable drop in both downloads and active users by the end of June, with revenue also experiencing a dip to $15K.

Lastly, Ulala: Idle Adventure had a notable increase in revenue, especially in June where it peaked at $316K. However, the game did not report any new downloads during the quarter, and no data on weekly active users was available. It suggests a core audience generating revenue without an expansion in the user base.
